“NEW RUSSIAN FASHION IN FILM” is a unique collaboration between Russian designers and filmmakers – from Moscow and beyond. Focusing on the theme of fashion film, which is viewed as a new medium for fashion communication in the digital age, the works explore a variety of approaches – from moving look-books to narrative shorts and atmospheric videos.
Thirteen Russian fashion designers, both established and emerging, among them Arsenicum by Dmitry Loginov, Viva Vox, ROAD by David Gevorkov, Tigran Avetisyan, and many others, will present their fashion films created in collaboration with some of the most prominent Russian fashion filmmakers, including Dasha Yastrebova, Gleb Sereda, Alexey Kiselev, Natasha Sych, Natali Arefieva and many other talents. The curatorial support was provided by established British directors Kathryn Ferguson, Grace Ladoja, Alex Turvey and Marie Schuller of Showstudio.
“NEW RUSSIAN FASHION IN FILM” offers an unparalleled insight into the emerging fashion scene and showcases the talents that are making waves in the world of fashion, art and film in contemporary Russia.
