Marilyn Monroe gets fitted for a costume in her dressing room, New York, March 1955

She is one of the greatest movie stars of all time; forever young Marilyn Monroe, would have turned 85 on June 1.

Rare, vintage images of a bombshell extraordinaire, by Ed Feingersh, recently uncovered by photography collector Michael Ochs, brings us back to 1955 in New York. Monroe came to train at the Lee Strasberg Actors Studio, seeking new inspiration from her recent divorce from baseball legend Joe DiMaggio.
