Russian couture designer Yulia Yanina’s dresses made an appearance at the Vanity Fair after party on two different starlets. Emma Roberts and Gwen Stefani both wore Yanina Couture from different seasons for the post-Academy Awards festivities.
Robert’s, the star of Scream Queens, went with a feminine black and white pick from the Spring 2016 collection that recently showed in Paris during January’s Couture Fashion Week. The dress was effortless and lightweight with textured black flower accents, cape sleeves and a velvet belt. Stefani on the other hand went with a more risqué “naked” look from the Spring Summer 2015 collection. Matching her signature scarlet lip, the dress was mostly illusion mesh with petal like detailing resembling a Poppy on the front placed over the torso for coverage. The rest of the monochrome dress was covered in more petals that cascaded to the bottom showing off Stefani’s legs. Once inside, Stefani performed onstage in the couture creation.
Yanina Couture was founded in 1993 and the Russian fashion house has dressed both American and Russian celebrities in the past such as Kate Hudson, Eva Longoria and Svetlana Ivanova. Her atelier is located in the heart of Moscow across from the Red Square. The most recent Spring 2016 collection had a Swan Lake motif true to the designer’s roots. Yanina’s work has previously been featured in Russian Vogue as well as Russian Harper’s Bazaar and now twice in one night at a Vanity Fair party.
