Onboard your agent to Depesha

Paste this into Claude Code, Codex or any coding agent that can run commands. It reads the instructions and does the setup itself.

Set me up on Depesha: https://depesha.com/agent-setup/prompt.md

Read the instructions your agent follows

What your agent does

  1. Asks whether you have a Depesha key. During the private beta, keys come with an invitation; without one, it sends you to the waitlist.
  2. Installs the CLI from PyPI: uv tool install depesha, or pipx install depesha, or runs it with uvx depesha without installing.
  3. Installs the /depesha skill for the agent in use: depesha skill install --target claude, or codex, agents or project.
  4. Logs in without seeing your key. You run depesha login in your own terminal, where it asks with a hidden prompt, or save the key to a file for depesha login --token-file. Then it checks with depesha whoami.
  5. Looks around and sends nothing. It runs depesha domain list and depesha send --help, and sends a test email only when you say so.

It ends with a summary: the CLI's version, where the skill went, and the profile it logged in with.

Your key stays out of the chat

The instructions tell your agent never to ask for a key in the conversation and never to print one. Don't paste it there yourself, either.
